Job Description
- Process and administer end-to-end payroll for employees for our clients, ensuring accurate and timely disbursement of salaries.
- Handle statutory deductions such as Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), Professional Tax (PT), Income Tax (TDS), and other payroll-related deductions.
- Coordinate with the client finance department for salary transfers and manage payroll-related reconciliations.
- Detailed validation of payroll inputs and payroll outputs to ensure accurate and error free payroll processing.
- Identify methods to improve efficiency of payroll processes and draft SOPs, Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders in validating Income tax calculations, Form16 validations, and quarterly E-TDS filing validations.
- Compliance-related queries and notice trouble shoot
- Manage year-end activities such as income tax filing (Form 16), bonus calculations, and final settlement of outgoing employees.
- Ensure compliance with Indian labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies related to payroll.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and labor regulations and ensure payroll processes are compliant with recent updates.
- Prepare year-end payroll reports and participate in audits, providing necessary payroll-related documentation.
- Address employee queries regarding salary disbursement, deductions, tax calculations, and pay slips and payroll policy related queries. Resolve employees’ queries byproviding a rangeof alternatives. (Priority)
- Handle grievances or escalations related to payroll discrepancies and compliances related.
- Manage payroll software and ensure data accuracy in payroll records.
- Work with Client HR and vendor IT teams to maintain employee records and ensure proper integration between HR, payroll, and accounting systems.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in payroll operations.
- The ability to fluently speak, read, and write in English
- Experience using MS Office (Word, Excel, powerpoint)
- Experience collaborating and working on a team with a high level of accountability for self and others
- Experience working with an HCM platform (GreytHR)
- Should possess a high level of integrity considering the kind of data and documents he/she will be handling.
- Support project manager in project management activities.
