Accountant (Johor Bahru) (Manufacturing)

Description

You will be responsible to

Oversee the accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger entries.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to local accounting standards (Malaysian Accounting Standards Board – MASB).

Manage tax filings and compliance with local tax regulations in Malaysia.

Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial projections for the Malaysian subsidiary.

Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to local management.

Conduct variance analysis to understand deviations from budgets and forecasts.

Manage cash flow, bank accounts, and foreign exchange transactions.

Ensure compliance with all relevant local laws and regulations.

Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.

Profile

The ideal candidate should

• Hold a degree or professional qualification in Accountancy or a related field
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment
• Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, working capital management
• Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Good communication skills

Job Offer

You will be rewarded with an attractive salary of RM 6000 to RM 12000 monthly.
