Job Description

Norco is currently seeking an individual to fill ourRegional Vice President position. TheRegional Vice President acts as the operations officer responsible for the planning, organizing, directing and controlling of the day-to-day and long term activities of their respective region within Norco, Inc. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist stores in meeting their profit, receivables, inventory, and sales goals
  • Promote operational excellence by ensuring all procedures and processes that pertain to the local business are adhered to
  • Serves as primary contact with stores, with an emphasis to continue sales management within the stores
  • Identify training needs in stores
  • Assist stores in hiring, discipline, and terminating staff
  • Assist store in budgeting and capital expenses
  • Oversee profit exception and open order reports, along with other key performance metrics
  • Have a thorough understanding of Industrial and/or Medical store operations and how to integrate as needed as it applies to the Region
  • Mentor Store Managers and other employees in the Region
  • Track attendance, punctuality, and vacation time of Store Managers
  • Perform Performance Reviews of Store Managers
  • Enforce company policies
  • Review and approve call sheets or CRM logs for all sales reps within the region
  • Collaborate with Executive Management team to develop, plan, and implement strategic initiatives that support the overall operational and financial success of the company
  • Perform other tasks as assigned or necessary

Qualifications

  • A minimum five years of progressively responsible experience in management with considerable knowledge of policies, procedures, regulations, and standards for a welding and supply distributor
  • Bachelors degree in Business or related industry to Norco, MBA a plus
  • Knowledge of management practices and evaluation techniques
  • Ability to effectively supervise and manage personnel
  • Ability to accurately enter data into computer systems and acquire a working knowledge of any software applications necessary to the position
  • Ability to keep sensitive material confidential
  • Ability to make decisions quickly using good judgement
  • Ability to be self-motivated and directed with little or no supervision
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (i.e. processing paperwork, filing, stapling, sorting, etc.)
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
