Job Description
- Hold a minimum of PTS AC/DCCR, COSS, PS, and Strapping and Switching competencies plus Emergency First Aid with Electrical Burns
- Be able to follow safety standards set out by Network Rail
- Ability to work well within a small team and use own initiative
- Be a driver
The Multi-Skilled COSS typical shift will include:
- Leading safety critical duties with the Possession Support Assistant to ensure safe working practices whilst undertaking possession limit duties on 3rd rail
- Placing marker boards, detonators at the Possession limits/Blocking points
- Undertake strapping and switching duties in line with competencies held to isolate the traction supply
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to possession activities
- Assist the PICOP or ES in conjunction with train movements
- Follow Safe Work Plans
