What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Gather necessary insurance information and accurately input it into the computer system for claim submissions
• Verify insurance details and determine medical necessity for services
• Assist with prior authorization, pre-certification, and referrals as needed
• Communicate with patients regarding coverage and pre-service collections
• Manage service estimates and workers’ compensation authorizations

What Is Required (Qualifications)

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare or health plan setting
• Knowledge of referrals and authorizations within a healthcare context
• Experience in patient care, registration, scheduling, and medical terminology
• Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• No specific licensure or certification required

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Additional experience in pre-certifications/prior authorizations and collections
• Familiarity with ICD 10 or HCPC code selection
