TASKS & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Assign and supervise tasks of supervisors / officers and staff of the Housekeeping / laundry Department.

  • Assigns workers, their duties and inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness, sanitation & hygiene.
  • Ensure implementation of infection control practices and EPA/SEPA/SHCC standards compliance.
  • Develop/review/compile housekeeping and laundry services related policies and SOPs.
  • Manage hospital waste management with assurance of infection control practices and guidelines.
  • Makes recommendations to improve service and ensure more elicit operation and visit campus facility on daily basis and maintain visitation data.
  • Responsible to investigate HK / porter / laundry complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment, takes corrective action and maintained records.
  • Arrange staff training and development as per requirements of clinical and non clinical area.
  • Examines equipment. HK facility (including waste dump arca) to determine need for repairs or cleaning or replacement of equipment / tools, and makes recommendations to management, (all non-capital equipment).
  • Conduct staff meetings to discuss company policies and patrons complaints and maintain records.
  • Participate in the internal/external meeting with the Head of Department: maintain records and recommendations.
  • Maintain periodic departmental performance reports and prepare analysis.
