The Systems Administrator is a highly dependable and motivated professional. This position is responsible for ensuring on premise and cloud-based services are running, updated and secure. This person is also responsible for ensuring outstanding levels of customer service by providing direct support to internal and external clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide system-level support of assigned systems to maintain integrity and security of a predominantly Windows enterprise environment.
  • Perform off-hours maintenance and critical response to support outages and upgrades to reduce downtime, if necessary.
  • Maintain assigned system infrastructure including customization, configuration, installation, and testing.
  • Manage server infrastructure and servers in VMware.
  • Hardware and OS patch management.
  • Provide implementation support for new systems including upgrades, customization, integration, and testing.
  • Oversee user access administration for company-wide applications and systems.
  • Manage security applications and systems.
  • Operate and maintain backup environments and disaster recovery plans/procedures.
  • Provide priority/troubleshooting guidance when necessary.
  • Create and maintain support documentation.
  • Assist Helpdesk Technician(s) with day-to-day operations, serve as ticket escalation, and equipment setups, if needed.
  • Work alongside other Systems Administrator(s) to maintain all systems, the network, and applications as well as research, evaluate, and recommend changes/new technologies.
  • Support and administer third-party applications/websites.

Qualifications

Required Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in IT related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • 3-5+ years in IT role with end-user support.
  • 2+ years as a Systems Administrator.
  • Any related certification: CCNA, VMware Certified Professional, MCSA (or higher).
  • Experience in one or more of the following: VMware, SAN, Backups, Windows Server, SSO.
  • Strong hands-on experience in administering Microsoft tools and products such as: Teams, Office365, Azure, Active Directory and Group Policy.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Knowledgeable in 3 or more of the following:

o Windows Server operating systems

  • SAN Storage hardware
  • Virtualization (VMware, VMware ESXi, VMware templates)
  • Software Deployment tools
  • End Point Protection
  • SSO
  • Content Filtering
  • Email Filtering
  • VoIP Telephony
  • Basic networking troubleshooting experience. Cisco Meraki is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of managing Office 365, AD and Group Policy.
  • Ability to set up and manage print queues.
  • Ability to work well with others and demonstrate excellent quality of work with little to no supervision.
  • Must be highly organized and possess excellent customer service.
  • Must have excellent problem solving, troubleshooting abilities.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
