THE ROLE
Seeking an Executive Assistant to the CEO of The Intellectual Property Corporation (IPC) / President of the Sony Nonfiction Television Group at Sony Pictures Television (SPT). IPC specializes in premium documentary series, unscripted series, and feature documentaries. We also have several scripted series and features in the pipeline. If you are interested in becoming a studio executive or a producer/executive in non-fiction, there is no greater opportunity. Aside from standard assistant duties, you will be able to do creative work on our projects and work with the development team, learn in-depth about the business side of entertainment, and be exposed to the production process/set etc. This is a position that, in success, has tremendous upward mobility and can be your last assistant job if you put in the work. The ideal candidate will be hardworking, entrepreneurial, detail oriented, and proactive. You must have assistant experience at a network, streamer, agency, or production company and a passion for the non-fiction space is highly recommended.
Responsibilities
- Manages executive’s calendar; schedules/coordinates meetings; handles any meeting preparation.
- Rolling and tracking calls.
- Prepare documents, research, and presentations for high-level meetings.
- Liaising across the studio and division efficiently and effectively
- Drafts correspondence for executive (agendas, weekly memos, occasional emails/letters, etc.)
- Processes and tracks billing, expense reports, etc.
- Book complex travel, both domestic and international
- Ensure office procedures run smoothly, efficiently, and effectively.
- Other general administrative duties (processing mail, copying, gifting, etc.)
- Miscellaneous duties as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 3-4 years as executive assistant on a senior level desk in the entertainment industry; agency experience preferred.
- Must be able to multi-task and prioritize to ensure all assignments are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Must be flexible – an ability to work well in an environment where needs and priorities are subject to much revision.
- Common sense, dependability, loyalty, discretion, resourceful, maturity and attention to detail are required.
- Excellent communication skills – written and oral (must have a professional and courteous demeanor).
The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $68,500 to $75,000. This role is also eligible for overtime in accordance with company policy and state and Federal law. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
