Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and inclusive Learning & Development Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in shaping the professional growth and development of our billable staff, from analysts to partners. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thought partner, innovative content creator, and effective leader in training delivery with a foundation as a consultant.
- Core Curriculum Development: Refine, implement, and execute a comprehensive core curriculum tailored to each career stage, ensuring continuous professional growth.
- Lead in Content Creation: Develop and design engaging new learning materials and programs that cater to various career stages within the firm.
- Thought Partner: Collaborate closely with L&D leadership and the Chief People Officer (CPO) to align learning initiatives with strategic business goals.
- Integration and Onboarding: Lead the integration and onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the firm.
- Training Delivery: Facilitate and deliver training sessions, workshops, and seminars to enhance the skills and knowledge of our staff.
- Training Responsibility: Oversee the training of all billable staff, from Analysts to Partners, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
- Program Management and Coordination: Manage L&D internal meetings, including setting agendas, tracking attendance, recording minutes, and outlining next steps; oversee and track workstream progress and deadlines, and coordinate scheduling & tracking of key training sessions.
- Oversight of Internal Initiative: Manage and oversee internal learning and development initiative, managing the workstreams, and providing guidance on execution of development goals.
- People Strategy Leadership Team: Actively participate as a member of the People Strategy Leadership Team, coordinating with various people strategy disciplines to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to learning and development.
- Other Duties as Assigned: Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the overall goals of the People Strategy team.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in learning and development, preferably within a consulting or professional services environment.
- Strong content creation and instructional design skills.
- Proven ability to deliver impactful and engaging training sessions, consistently achieving positive ROI and receiving excellent participant feedback
- Prior experience as a consultant in life sciences strategy consulting is a plus.
- Excellent communication and facilitation abilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint
