Job Description
Strategic planning and execution with strategic customers of community oncology to activate the community, as well as leadership and alignment among cross functional Iovance teams, will increase awareness and mobilize appropriate AMTAGVI patients to Authorized Treatment Centers (ATCs), and be critical to success in this role.
This role requires extensive Oncology sales experience, agile thinking, a solution-oriented mindset, ideally cell/gene therapy experience and an ability to operate with a cross functional mindset.
Specific Responsibilities
- Execute a unified, strategic plan for community activation, ensuring consistency and purpose in external engagements while recognizing there are many internal stakeholders with distinct needs and touchpoints.
- Initiate corporate relationships with Large Community Practice C-suites to collaborate and drive educational initiatives and strategies that will generate appropriate patient selection to ATCs
- Lead relationship and engagement activities with key State Societies and Association of Cancer Care Centers (ACCC) for community educational initiatives. Leverage and fully optimize all membership level opportunities with Iovance cross functional teams
- Lead oversight, coaching, and day-to-day engagement with a region/ portion of the community sales team to access, educate and support the community oncology office in navigation of patients to ATCs.
- Collaborate with field-based teams for coordination of patient referrals from community practices to ATCs. Ensure a high level of scientific and operational prowess and ability to engage and connect these ATC functions.
- Identify opportunities for education and collaboration with authorized treatment centers that look to educate their referral networks.
- Participate in cross functional planning efforts with marketing, market access, and medical affairs for customer interactions at key global congresses and meetings to support one master plan for customer engagement.
- Develop exceptional knowledge in the advanced melanoma disease state, market landscape, AMTAGVI clinical data, and community-ATC affiliated networks
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures as well as with US/global healthcare laws and regulations.

Education And Qualifications
- 8-10 years of cross functional experience in key account management (including large academic oncology centers), thought leader development, advocacy development, medical affairs, etc.
- 5+ years of oncology experience is required; Cell Therapy experience is preferred
- BA or BS degree is required; A postgraduate degree such as an MBA, MPH, or PhD is preferred
- Understands in-patient hospital systems, stem cell transplant/ cellular therapy infrastructure, decision-making and community referral processes
- Demonstrates success in community oncology network; GPO, Hospital IDNs, Hospital Systems, and large oncology practices
- Understands impact of national/regional payer coverage policies.
- Has a collaborative mindset of ongoing learning/development
- Thrives in a fast-paced, resource constrained, start-up environment with high expectations and accountability.
- Demonstrates professional maturity and flexibility.
- Ability to travel up to 60% of the time.
