Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to repair a variety of standard drive units and subassemblies. Each day, you will ensure the best possible and most cost-effective problem resolution. You will also showcase your expertise by executing work as per first-time right approach and ensuring the job is done on time and as per quality standards. Execute Service work according to agreed workflows and in accordance with ABB standard processes and safety guidelines. Deliver excellent customer service to satisfy customers. In close co-operation with customer and other ABB teams.
The work model for the role is: Onsite
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Contributing to customer satisfaction by executing workshop orders according to workshop processes and guidelines.
- Performing workshop tasks such as troubleshooting, repair, assembly, and testing.
- Checking bill of materials and other documents to identify required parts needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available.
- Ensuring the completion, processing, and maintenance of all required documentation.
- Service delivery – Performs Service tasks, identifies technical problems and makes analysis in any Service categories.
- Customer approach – Contributes to customer satisfaction by executing Service work according to customer order and expectation.
- Documentation and reports – Prepares all documents and reports to be signed by client
- Troubleshooting – Troubleshoots equipment failure and makes recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future
- Operational excellence – Proactively identifies suggestions for product and quality improvement
- Health, safety, and integrity – Applies safety rules and safe practices as well as environmental responsibilities
Qualifications For The Role
- Trade tested with a minimum N4 qualification
- Ability to communicate effectively on all levels
- Be able to work under pressure
- Analytical and problem-solving skills a must
- Computer literacy
- Prepared to travel locally as and when required in an emergency
