Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in supervision, training, and direct assistance of warehouse operations which include, but not limited to, loading/unloading, receiving, sorting, put away, picking, inventory control, and space optimization.
- Leading by example to ensure that all procedures and best practices are consistently followed.
- Drive efficiency, monitor employee productivity and motivate workforce by providing effective coaching, feedback, and coaching.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels by leading regular physical counts with warehouse teams and reconcile discrepancies with the warehouse inventory system.
- Ensure a culture of safety by enforcing safety standards and adhering to standard operational procedures. Primarily responsible for ensuring training is completed (OSHA equipment, compliance, etc.) and records are maintained for a variety of needs including OSHA, customer, and other audits.
- Meets and exceeds customer satisfaction through strong understanding of customer expectations.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and well-maintained facility and equipment to reduce/eliminate harm to people and products.
- Assist in the development and work within the operational budget.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and co-workers.
- Measure and report KPIs and operational metrics to the Operations Manager on a weekly basis.
- Receive complaints and resolve problems.
- Able to handle accident handling (injury management, witness statements, reporting and investigation)
- Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate
- Performs related work and other job assignments as required.
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma; Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Proven experience as an Operations Supervisor or similar role with a positive leadership mindset and ability hold people accountable
- Strong communication, interpersonal skill, leadership, and conflict resolution
- Strong knowledge of warehousing practices and method
- Experience with 5S and continuous improvement programs.
- Critical thinking ability and a proactive approach to problem solving
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and inventory management software
- Bilingual Spanish and English preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions to include meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Effectively and safely lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach and climb stairs. The position requires sitting, standing & walking for extended periods of time.
- Work in hot, cold and extremely cold environments for extended periods (freezer and cold storage facilities).
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours as required during peak seasons.
