Overview
JOB PURPOSE:
Drive the operation agenda thru the bottler’s operation organization in collaboration with Franchise, sales and Marketing team, securing product quality & trademark protection and product availability.
Develop the bottler long term capacity planning, while focusing on the implementation of the marketing innovation agenda in line with AOP & SBP.
The Regional Operations Manager ensures that:
- Capacity requirements are evaluated and up-gradations, Expansions and Green-fields are executed as per requirements and to Pepsi standards.
- The products are made as per Q&FS standards and quality scores improvement through capability.
- The operations are cost effective, efficient and target KPIs are achieved
- Drives productivity through value engineering and best practice tool.
- Builds capability of bottlers and deploys PepsiCo Best practice tools
- Build impact full connects with OEMs and external partners
- The Pep + initiatives are rolled out and tracked as per PepsiCo glidepath
- The operation is being done in compliance with local regulatory requirement
Responsibilities
Accountability:
- Lead the bottlers capacity planning and strategic capacity expansion plan.
- Bottler’s Point of contact with OEM’s to insure the implementation of PepsiCo equipment standards and best practices tools.
- Lead new product/packaging launches readiness as per AOP for his cluster
- Drive bottler’s quality performance in-line with Quality agenda and targets for his cluster plants
- Ensure 100% AIB audits at FOBO plants and achieve AOP targets
- Drive material sourcing through PepsiCo’s approved suppliers.
- Provide operation technical input to franchise team for renewal of EBA’s.
- Align FOBO bottlers on operational best practice tools such as M&W, Pitstop & RECON implementation as per agreed plan
- Support on driving productivity in his cluster
- Support bottlers sustainability KPI improvement as per OOS guidelines and Pep+ Glidepath
- Coordinate with the Quality Systems Manager in conducting regular audits of bottling plants to ensure standard operating procedures and quality control methods are in place & maintained.
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
- Graduate in Engineering with Electrical, mechanical or Mechatronics.
- Budget management experience.
- Well knowledge of Supply chain, Manufacturing, quality, maintenance systems, PepsiCo best practice tools and procurement.
- Minimum 7-15 years’ FMCG experience in maintenance and projects management – Must have experience of at least 8 years with 3years as manufacturing function head of plant.
- Technical, Financial, and executional abilities
- Extensive leadership experience and capability. Solid understanding of business levers. Capable of leading, training and motivating the plant teams and carrying the Bottlers along
- Significant change management experience. Highly analytical.
- Ability to work cross-functionally, cross-geographically and across multiple cultures
- Strong internal and external communicator, influencer, and negotiator.
- Ability to set and prioritise short, mid and long term objectives.
- Experience in warehouse/ inventory and spare parts management
