Overview

JOB PURPOSE:

  • Head the Unit SPL for the Region /Unit which involves complete ownership for Planning & Logistics, Demand Planning & Customer Service
  • Design strategies/plans and ensure their implementation for effective logistics and improve Region efficiency on stock management to enhance growth
  • Drive the Productivity agenda for the Regional Logistics in Secondary Freight and warehousing
  • Work with the Plant SPL Teams, Plant Managers and Central Supply Planning to ensure demand supply gaps are minimized on an ongoing basis
  • Lead the Unit Agenda of Dist best practices from SPL point including Distributor Warehouse best practices
  • Drive the SC Quality of the Unit up to end Customer

Responsibilities

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Manage entire Supply Chain Costs for the region and identify saving opportunities. Monitor and action DC wise
  • Head the Demand Planning for the Region and run Regional/ Cluster DP processes cycles within the Unit
  • Provide field inputs to Central Demand planning to enhance Forecast accuracy including RCA
  • Collaborate with BU Supply Planning and BU Demand Planning to ensure right stocks and manage Demand Compliance on AOP
  • Responsible for driving Secondary freight initiatives across the region
  • Review and manage age of stocks and drive productivity in damage and expiry
  • Lead the implementation of strategic CRS initiative for all DC in the Cluster and create a self-sustainable model between DC and Distributor
  • Drive MT filtrates through collaboration with MT chains and ensuring flawless execution
  • Lead the Freight strategy for the Region and drive productivity
  • End to end coordination with Supply planners at Plant and HQ, co-packers, and ensure optimum usage of Plant resources
  • Create and maintain differentiated Supply chain capability of all 3 channels i.e., for TT/EC and MT
  • Manage all local promotions and banding operations at DC
  • Warehousing productivity projects at DC for improved space utilization
  • Work on daily and weekly forecast accuracy to impact skew and service levels
  • Monitor Ageing and Stales at DC and resolve issues with Demand planner to ensure no write off

Qualifications

KEY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Education: Graduate and Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain Management
  • Functional Experience: 3+ year preferred in Supply Planning & Logistics, Knowledge of SAP environment, expertise in TMS / planning tools, knowledge of warehouse operations & productivity
  • Language: English, Hindi
  • At least 3-5 years of Supply Chain experience in a FMCG industry (preferably food industry)
  • Flexibility and able to work under uncertain situation and high pressure.
  • Understanding of logistics and warehousing operations
