About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of testing practices in an Agile environment, a strong background in test automation, and experience leading testing initiatives. This role requires a mix of individual contributions and leadership, working closely with engineering, test, and product managers to streamline upcoming testing work.

What You Will Do

  • Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering Managers, Test Managers, and Product Managers to align testing efforts with project goals and timelines.
  • Technical Expertise: Understand backend systems and their impact on overall application performance. Identify and implement automation needs across various platforms.
  • Quality Initiatives: Collaborate with Quality Engineering leadership to drive horizontal quality initiatives and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Quality Focus: Maintain a quality-obsessed mindset, ensuring that all testing efforts contribute to the delivery of robust and reliable software.
  • Project Management: Handle multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring high-quality deliverables. Work on a sprint basis and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Testing in Agile Environment: Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of testing practices within Agile methodologies.
  • Test Automation: Lead and extend current test automation frameworks. Drive test automation initiatives within the team to enhance efficiency and coverage.
  • Leadership: Serve as a technical leader and mentor for both junior and senior QA engineers. Lead by example and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Comprehensive Testing: Conduct functional testing, web application testing, mobile application testing, database testing, and API testing.
  • Team Development: Mentor and groom QA engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

What You Should Have

  • Experience: 6-8 years of diversified experience in test automation, functional testing, web application testing, mobile application testing, database testing, and API testing.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks. Ability to understand and work with backend systems.
  • Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Project Management: Ability to handle multiple projects and work on a sprint basis.
  • Quality Focus: Passionate about quality and continuous improvement.
