About The Role

Ramp is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Accounting team. In this role, you will report to the Senior Manager and work closely with other members of the Accounting and Finance teams. This role is crucial in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments, maintaining positive relationships with vendors, and assisting with month-end and year-end close processes. This role will also assist with our annual audit, tax filings and other regulatory requests as needed. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality and accurate work.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage accounts payable and ensure proper controls in the cash disbursement process
  • Record and reconcile cash transactions in Netsuite
  • Respond to vendor and employee inquiries in a timely manner
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or issues with vendors promptly and professionally
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate and efficient processing of vendor transactions
  • Assist in the preparation of month-end reports, accruals, and reconciliation of accounts payable balances
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards
  • Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors as requested
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance workflow efficiency, and reduce payment delays
  • Work with Product, Engineering and other teams to enhance Ramp as a solution for other customers
  • Ad-hoc accounting and finance related requests
  • Opportunity to present in Ramp Community and develop presentation and leadership skills

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in Accounting and AP
  • Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and best practices
  • Prior experience working with expense management / AP software (Ramp preferred)
  • Proficient in MS Office, Google Workspace
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions
  • Extreme attention to detail and high regard for precision
  • Excellent data entry skills
  • Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills

Nice to Haves

  • Prior experience working with Netsuite or similar ERP system
  • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Experience in high-growth startups and/or high-growth technology companies
  • Exposure to fintech, capital markets and securitization accounting

Compensation:

For candidates located in NYC or SF, the pay range for this role is $69,000 – $95,000. For candidates located in all other locations, the pay range for this role is $62,000 – $85,000
