Prep School Math Teacher

The Prep School Math Teacher will teach grades 9-12. We expect the new hire to honor student thinking and curiosity as they discover the many patterns that unveil the big ideas of prep/high school mathematics.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Teach various sections of Prep School math and possibly assist with temporary coverage of other courses
  • Use technology (specifically Geometer’s Sketchpad and Mathematica) to create professional and meaningful content and assessments
  • Provide thoughtful, individualized feedback and support to students
  • Work closely with colleagues, the department head, and prep school administration to support the academic, social, and emotional well-being of all students

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, Master’s degree is preferred
  • Minimum of three years full-time teaching experience
  • Valid State Certification is helpful but not required, preferably in middle or secondary math
  • Proven track-record of high achievement in the classroom
  • Ability to communicate effectively and establish rapport with families both orally and in writing
  • Prior experience teaching prep/high school students preferred

WORK HOURS:

  • 7:30am-3:30pm Monday through Friday
  • Weekly faculty and department meetings until 4:30pm
  • Start Date: This position is for the 25-26 School Year with the new hire orientation beginning in late August

COMPENSATION:

The salary range for this position is $71,000 -$118,500 based on completed degree programs and years of lead teaching experience. We offer highly competitive salaries, exceptional benefit package, and a warm and supportive culture.
