Job Title: System and Business Analyst Malaysia, Singapore

Location: Malaysia

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Embed data analytics & decisions into Unilever’s daily business process, based on both external data (e.g., distributor / wholesaler / cash & carry channels) and internal data (e.g., primary sales, inventory, forecasting data).
  • Drive change management to improve business performances through Data & Business Analytics methodologies.
  • Lead functional deep-dive analysis to identify gaps, opportunities, drivers to accelerate business e.g., improve stocks forecasting, improve trade spends efficiency.
  • Innovate projects to solve existing business questions differently by automation, modeling, external data (e.g., Euromonitor, Global Data), etc.
  • Use statistical tools to interpret data sets and prepare reports that effectively communicate trends, patterns and prediction based on relevant findings.
  • Build data systems and pipelines, algorithms, and prototypes.
  • Enhance data quality and reliability to improve user experience.
  • Direct communication with stakeholders to resolve issues and to conduct trainings.

Skills And Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, data modeling or similar technical background
  • 3 years working experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst/ Data Analyst or any position that related to data and business analytics with strong statistical background.
  • Intermediate experience with Power BI, Advanced Excel, Power Automate, MS Azure, Databricks is preferred.
  • Knowledge of programming languages (SQL, Python, DAX) is preferred.
  • Organization – creating and keeping easy to read files, allowing easy transition of projects and review of underlying data / calculation.
  • Technical Comprehension – learn/understand data and formulas that are used to determine performance metrics.
  • Complex problem solving – identifying problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate potential solutions.
  • Detail oriented – strong desire for data accuracy and timeliness is critical.
  • Critical thinking – Using logic and reasoning to identify conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Excellent and Clear Communication (English) – Ability to influence others and navigating through a matrix organization.
