Senior Recruiter

Summary

The SPINS People Operations team is looking to expand their recruitment arm of the team and hire a Senior Recruiter. Our ideal candidate will lead the full recruitment cycle for all corporate opportunities. They would play a key role in shaping our recruitment strategy and tools, build a strong employment brand, and ensure great relationships with both candidates and hiring managers. We are a collaborative organization and this individual will actively partner across many departments such as People Operations and Finance and across multiple levels within the company.

This role reports directly to our Chief People Officer and will be based out of our Chicago campus, two days a week. As a member of this team, you play a significant role shaping the company’s culture and bring talent into SPINS.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Own the full recruitment cycle from posting the role, coordinating and leading the search kickoff, sourcing and ultimately offer, requiring negotiation skills
  • Develop solutions and innovating strategies to attract, engage and hire strong talent, for both active and proactive searches
  • Facilitate final steps in hiring process, from making offer, turning down candidates, hiring the candidate and ensuring a seamless pass off to Total Rewards team to lead onboarding
  • Partner closely with Director, People Partner to understand current and future talent needs to effectively plan and execute proactive recruitment strategies
  • Share insights on market trends, relevant laws and internal talent needs to ensure the company’s staffing plans and forecasts are accurate
  • Actively work in alignment with the company’s commitment to foster an environment that champions inclusive and diverse viewpoints and backgrounds
  • Communicate clearly and proactively with all candidates and hiring managers throughout the search process, providing high-touch, seamless experience for all involved
  • Manage in partnership with the Director, People Partner external recruitment agencies for both full-time SPINS team members and contractors
  • Regularly audit Greenhouse to ensure accuracy of information and maintain recruitment files, such as job descriptions
  • Administer our New Hire Orientation
  • Update weekly recruitment tracker and facilitating weekly call with key stakeholders
  • Use metrics as a guide to capture what is working well and to identify areas of improvement, along with solutions

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Super user in navigating an applicant tracking system, such as Greenhouse and seeking creative ways to pipeline talent
  • Ability to set priorities and exercise personal judgement
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, with listening being key to success
  • Experience in holding crucial conversations effectively
  • Ability to interact and manage relationships at all levels of an organization
  • Strong organizational skills, and attention to detail, with an emphasis on maintaining confidentiality
  • Comfort with ambiguity; ability to prioritize, multitask and flex as needs and priorities change
  • Strong Team Player – actively listen to coworkers, respect ideas, and aim to improve the ways of working as a team

Salary range for this role: $65,000-$75,000
