Qualifications

  • Must possess a California Cytotechnologist license, ASCP Cytotechnologist certification (CT or SCT), ThinPrep certification, and BD-SurePath Morphology certification.
  • Successful completion of the CLIA-mandated GYN (PAP) Proficiency Test, either from the prior year or current year. Recent graduates of Cytotechnology training programs are exempt during the calendar year of program completion.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Working knowledge of the essentials of normal/abnormal cytologic principles for GYN and non-GYN (including FNA) specimens.
  • Ability to work between locations/sites as needed.
  • Strong organizational, teamwork, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to maintain clear and legible records.
  • ROSE (rapid on-site evaluation) experience preferred.
  • Ability to work at both Santa Monica and Westwood site, with occasional travel to off-site clinics, such as Torrance and San Fernando Valley.
