Position

Reporting to the EVP of Human Resources, this pivotal role is a critical partner for leading and supporting the MH business strategy by ensuring effective talent acquisition, talent management and development practices, in order to have the right people are in place, accountable for delivering against our strategic goals. This will be achieved by offering guidance, best practice advice and structure to the HR community across Maisons, Regions, Globally and Locally.

The VP of Talent will lead a small team of talent experts and be responsible for providing broader strategic direction while also being hands-on in a number of areas to address the needs and priorities of the organization .

As a leader and partner to the EVP of HR, the VP of Talent will need to have the ability to communicate effectively across all points above, manage financials, budget and use metrics to demonstrate investment returns on talent. The role must have a thorough understanding of technology and the use of technology across all talent disciplines.

Job Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition

Oversee, lead, and mentor a small team of talent acquisition specialists who support the global agenda in strategic direction, candidate experience, and recruitment innovation. This team is responsible for global and corporate roles based in Paris. Optimize the TA process by focusing on technology, candidate experience, and investment to achieve a best-in-class experience for our luxury Maisons. Leverage metrics to tell the story, impact, and drive change, building ROI cases where necessary. Adapt and implement the broader D&I strategy to drive a critical TA inclusion agenda, creating a robust and diverse team globally. Understand TA technology and its integration into the broader HRIS ecosystem. Collaborate closely with LVMH colleagues on the broader technology agenda. Partner with the LVMH ecosystem to support internal recruitment and champion mobility where appropriate.

Talent Management

Elevate the talent management agenda in a diverse, growing, and complex organization to ensure the right talent with key capabilities is in the right position to deliver the strategic agenda. Partner with a small team dedicated to talent management, performance management, and succession planning on a global scale. Evolve our ability to manage and build careers for our talents strategically and pragmatically. Understand and maximize the broader LVMH platform of RISE. Support a broad succession planning agenda with a new and innovative approach to develop talent for tomorrow. Utilize and evolve the LVMH annual talent review and succession process (OMR). Enhance communication of all talent management initiatives to improve employee career experiences. Use executive and potential assessment tools to bring a comprehensive 360 perspective on talent.

Global Learning & Leadership Development

Lead a small team of professionals to build a strong learning culture across MH. Engage with the broader learning community to address multiple agendas such as technical skills, competency development, soft skills, compliance, financial and product training. Create a clear strategy, plan, and communication for our employees to experience. Support the team in evaluating and building learning technology aligned with the broader HRIS agenda and ecosystem, leveraging LVMH resources. Develop and execute a comprehensive leadership development strategy aligned with organizational needs. Lead and facilitate critical leadership programmes. Build a coaching or mentoring network to support the broader agenda. Continue to support and drive a clear MH collective onboarding to group, company, culture, etc.

Mobility: bridge talent acquisition, retention, and development. Bring a MH global perspective to mobility investment, metrics, and communication.

Diversity & Inclusion: play a key role in Talent strategy and agenda for diversity and inclusion. Lead a global community with the support of other HR functions around diversity and inclusion.

Profile

  • Seasoned professional with a minimum of 15 years or more in Talent. Ideally across multiple disciplines (Recruitment/Resourcing, Talent Management, Talent Development, Executive Coaching, HR Technology, DE&I)
  • Ability to deliver “hands on” and also strategically lead a team, supporting that team’s development in the areas above.
  • HR Business Partner experience, with strong commercial and business sense will be hugely advantageous but not required.
  • HR Talent Technology experience a must – within their discipline
  • Exceptional communication skills – verbal and written.
  • International Experience preferred and understanding of working within a global matrix.
  • Financial acumen, data interpretation and using data to drive the talent agenda.

  • Networked Talent and Learning Support for Regional Operation and Maison Teams.
  • Build a community by leveraging global professionals without direct line responsibility. Align global Talent Agenda, Calendar, Priorities and Projects as required.
  • Hands on role in Development & Coaching as required. Ability to learning programmes, workshops and engagements.
  • Strong technology experience across talent management and development to drive and build stronger infrastructure.
  • Financial acumen and understanding to leverage and build resource to support growth ambitions.
