About The Role.
The AVP, Program Management role is responsible for managing and a system of portfolio management for complex projects and execution priorities that are critical to achieving the Product and Underwriting’s strategic objectives. This individual has a proven track record of leading through change, and is comfortable formulating strategies, partnering with and influencing key stakeholders across all levels of the organization, and working through tactical execution with functional and technology counterparts. This leadership role requires a seasoned program management professional with a strong background in the insurance industry, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration. This role reports to the Chief of Staff for the Chief Underwriting Officer and will work closely with the Product and Underwriting leadership team.
What You’ll Do.
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive project management operating model aligned with organizational goals.
- Portfolio Management: Oversee a portfolio of projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives and resource allocation.
- Process Optimization: Establish project management methodologies, tools, and standards to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with executives, department heads, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment of project goals.
What We’re Looking For.
- Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience.
- Demonstrated strong project management skills with the ability to establish clear priorities, execute objectives, manage time, and balance competing demands in dynamic environments.
- Proactively manage tasks and issues, effectively communicate risks, and escalate concerns as appropriate.
- Exceptional strategic, analytical, and problem-solving ability with keen attention to detail, complemented by strong decision-making skills and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
- PMP, PgMP, or proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Trello) and familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or other methodologies are preferred.

The base salary for this role can range from $155K – $175K, based on a full-time work schedule. An individual’s ultimate compensation will vary depending on job-related skills and experience, geographic location, alignment with market data, and equity among other team members with comparable experience.
