Position Details:
- Job Type: Full-time, 36+ hours per week (Monday to Thursday)
- Schedule: NO weekends, NO call, NO holidays
- Work Location: In-person at Bloomington Eye Institute

Qualifications:
- Current Registered Professional Nurse license in the State of Illinois
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred
- Experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), Operating Room (OR), Critical Care, or Recovery Room preferred, but not required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities
- Able to work independently & effectively in a team environment.
- Can work in a stressful environment while continuing to be friendly and welcoming to both customers and co-workers.
- BLS required; ACLS and/or PALS preferred but not required
Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient interviews, perform pre-testing, and manage admissions and discharges with proper documentation
- Circulate in the procedure room and administer IV conscious sedation as needed
- Transcribe and implement physicians’ orders accurately
- Perform IV punctures, dispense medications, and carry out venipunctures
- Monitor and recognize patient rhythms
- Maintain adherence to all policies and procedures, ensuring a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff
- Communicate effectively regarding patient care and personnel matters
Pay:
The starting range for this position is $33.00 – $38.31/hr. depending on skills, experience, and qualifications as well as market considerations.
