Purpose of the role

Tata Motors is moving towards software-defined vehicles to provide superior value to customers by enabling cloud-native software development, Centralized compute architecture, retain lifetime value to our customers using OTA and drive significant software ownership.

The role exists to conceptualize and implement state-of-the-art verification and validation methodologies for Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) software, ensuring robust, reliable, and high-quality software is delivered to market.

Job Responsibility

  • Define Verification and Validation strategy for SDV features
  • Drive the creation of Test plans
  • Define the state-of-the-art SIL and HIL based test environments for SDV features
  • Drive the development of test scenarios and test cases
  • Maximise Automation of the tests
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of system requirements and test specifications.
  • Oversee the integration of ADAS components and systems into vehicles.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in the Validation area.

Desired candidate profile

  • M.Tech or B.tech in Computer Science / IT / Electrical /Electronics
  • Minimum 18 to 20 years of Automotive OEM /Tier 1 experience in Verification and Validation of IVI, ADAS, and Gateway functionalities

Mandatory Skills

  • In depth experience in ADAS and IVI system testing
  • Expertise in the design and development of HIL Systems for ADAS and IVI
  • Expertise in SIL testing and testing of Virtual ECUs
  • In depth experience in Test case development and Test Automation
  • In depth experience in CAN FD, Ethernet, and LIN
  • Expertise in Diagnostics and Network Management
  • Experience in setting up and improving a CI/CT flow
  • Experience in planning and execution of Validation programs
