- Providing warfarin dosing advice to patients
- Anticoagulation counselling
- Telephone advice and guidance
- Specialist point of contact for health professionals, patients and their families
- Performing INR tests
The anticoagulation service has undergone, and continues to undergo, a period of extensive change over the past few years, and we are looking for someone who would enjoy a new challenge to become as passionate about anticoagulation safety as we are! There is an expectation that the successful applicant will already hold the Non-Medical Prescribing qualification or be prepared to begin the course within the first year of their new post. The position involves working alongside other specialist nurses, admin staff, laboratory teams, consultants, hospital doctors and nurses, carers, GPs and community nursing teams, to provide high quality care and support to outpatients throughout Derbyshire and Staffordshire.
