Job Description
The team leader will be responsible for the clinical and professional leadership and management of a corporate school nursing team. They are responsible for providing day to day operational line management duties and responsibilities that include staff rotas, managing attendance, performance and recording staff absence.
The Successful Candidates Must Have
- Specialist Community Public Health Nurse – School Nursing qualification
- Evidence of post registration development and training
- Experience of work within School Nursing Teams
The team leader will oversee the effective and efficient use of skills and resources in the team and ensure the service is organised to meet the needs of the patients and complies with national standards. They will act as a role model for the team and line manage the School Nursing team in order to enable them to provide evidence-based care. The team leader will maintain an awareness of the national direction of School Nursing by working within the Clinical Governance regulations and adhere to the NMC Code.
The team leader will also be required to lead and manage the national childhood measurement programme for Birmingham School Health Support Service.
