Job Title: Pediatric Medical Assistant – Nocatee, FL

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our primary care clinic. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for check-in, obtaining patient information (height, weight, medical questionnaire), recording vitals such as blood pressure, and assisting the physician.

Responsibilities

  • Check-in patients and obtain patient information including height, weight, and medical questionnaire.
  • Record vital signs such as blood pressure.
  • Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
  • Manage medical records and ensure they are accurately maintained.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients.
  • Perform phlebotomy and manage electronic health records using Epic.

Essential Skills

  • Certified/registered Medical Assistant in the state of Florida.
  • Experience with medical records and vital signs.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Proficiency in using EMR systems, specifically Epic.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confidence in handling a demanding provider and patient load.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Positive attitude and compassion towards patients.
  • Experience in primary care, pediatrics, or internal medicine.
  • BLS certification.
  • Customer service experience.

Work Environment

The work environment is a fast-paced primary care clinic that services 120-140 patients per week among 10 total providers, including 7 physicians and several specialty providers. The team consists of 7 Medical Assistants, 2 Check-In Associates, 2 Check-Out Associates, 2 Medical Records Clerks, 1 Office Float, and 4 nurses. 80% of the patient load consists of Medicare patients. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 – $25.00
