Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Tech Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to users, maintaining hardware and software systems, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support:
    • Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
    • Respond promptly to helpdesk tickets, phone calls, and emails.
    • Diagnose and resolve IT-related problems efficiently.
  • System Maintenance:
    • Perform regular updates, upgrades, and patches for hardware and software.
    • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
    • Ensure data backup processes are functional and reliable.
  • User Assistance:
    • Set up new user accounts and manage access controls.
    • Provide training and guidance to end-users on using IT resources effectively.
    • Create and maintain technical documentation for end-users and IT processes.
  • Troubleshooting and Repairs:
    • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
    • Replace or repair defective hardware components.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other departments to identify and address IT needs.
    • Coordinate with external vendors for procurement and repairs.

Requirements

Experience:

  • Proven experience in IT support or a similar role (1-3 years preferred).
  • Familiarity with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and remote desktop tools.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware and peripherals.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT service management tools.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
  • High level of patience and a customer-service mindset.
