General Summary – Regional Vice President Of Operations

America’s Car-Mart is looking for a rising star in the used car industry to fill the role of Vice President of Operations, Region 3. Region 3 consists of approximately 30 locations across Kentucy, Tennessee, and parts of Missouri and Arkansas. We’re looking for an outstanding communicator with leadership and interpersonal skills, who has a proven record of achieving business success. As a VP of Operations, you lead the success of your Region by providing overall guidance to your team of 5-6 District Managers who support our General Managers in the field. Along the way, we’ll provide you with a training and development program to help you move your career forward.

Essential Functions

  • Assist Chief Operations Officer to grow and protect the company while ensuring that Area Operations Managers develop to fill future openings
  • Supervise the development of Area Operations Managers
  • Ensure all dealerships with the region meet or exceed company financial responsibilities by reviewing reports to determine the condition of the dealerships
  • Analyze market trends and develop actions plans to achieve company goals
  • Responsible for ensuring that the region has a talent pipeline to support growth within the region
  • Prepare agendas for and conduct Operational meetings

Qualifications And Requirements

  • Minimum five years of multi-facility management experience; experience in an automotive environment is preferred
  • Flexibility to provide leadership in evening and weekends
  • Ability to execute long and short-term strategies for sales & collections
  • Experience in establishing action plans to drive performance
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the proven ability to present and explain omplex information to diverse audiences including senior leadership
  • Motivate, inspire, and get buy-in from others
  • Excellent Customer Service skills to support the needs of the business
  • Strong project management and organization skills, including the ability to multi-task and prioritize various work streams simultaneously and proven ability to meet tight timelines
  • Ability to effectively establish and maintain working relationships with peers, senior leadership, and all levels of the organization with a positive and professional image
  • Experience in digital marketing and or business development is beneficial
  • General automotive mechanical knowledge is beneficial
