Job Description
The Project Scheduler will report to the scheduling department which is part of Heavy Civil Operations. The scheduling department supports the project teams in the planning, development, and updating of the bid schedules, baseline schedules, and monthly updates for project schedules.
What You Will Do:
- Provide training for planning/scheduling practices and P6 software support.
- Support the development & approval of the baseline schedule.
- Assist the project team to identify risks and opportunities during the initial planning and execution of the project.
- Support the project team with the monthly update process – update actuals, update plan, and narrative.
- Review & provide analysis & comments on schedule quality, best practices, and compliance per the contract.
- Consolidate and report on schedule data for operations management review.
- Assist project team with delay or claim management in the schedule (Time Impact Analysis)
- Create presentations using graphs, diagrams, and other exhibits to illustrate status using Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.
- Assist estimating and operations with the development of bid schedules
- Other duties as assigned
Who You Are: A Profile of Success
- 1+ years of experience in project scheduling preferably for TxDOT projects
- Proficient using Primavera P6 software developing and managing schedules
- Proficiency in critical path methodology to ensure, and communicate, timely delivery of milestone tasks
- Ability to create and prepare logical Work Breakdown Structure using WBS and activity codes in P6 to effectively build, optimize, and track the plan in P6
Compensation: $80,000 – $150,000 Per Exp
