Announcement Information

This is an appointed position within Oakland County.

General Summary

Under general direction, is responsible for directing the functions of the Economic Development Department in the areas of External Affairs and Business Intelligence, Business Development, Planning, Transit, and Veterans Service. Directs the administration and implementation of a strategic plan to identify economic problems and growth opportunities within Oakland County, and development policies and programs designed to achieve strategic goals. Presents recommendations to the County Executive and Board of Commissioners on matters related to divisional functions and explains and defends departmental and administrative positions. Utilizes current county-wide and/or department specific software to complete assignments.

Required Minimum Qualifications

DESIRABLE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Business Administration, Communications, Economics, Urban or Regional Planning, or related field of study.
  • Have at least four (4) years of full-time work experience in managing strategic organizational development and operations, or a related field.

Pay Range

USD $138,975.00 – USD $186,199.00 /Yr.
