An exciting opportunity to join the fun and friendly team at the Diabetic and Endocrine centre has arisen.

The role is as a Healthcare Assistant in a busy outpatient department, based at the Royal Cornwall Hospital, Truro and will be geared towards optimising patient experience, by maintaining a high standard of care throughout their visit.

This opportunity provides a unique insight into the diabetes and endocrinology speciality, and allows the successful applicant to work independently and as part of a wider team.

Manage the everyday running of clinics at the diabetes and endocrine centre.

Taking standard observations, manual blood pressures, weights, heights, BMI’s, blood glucose monitors, Urinalysis and Phlebotomy.

Documenting all clinical findings in patients notes.

Maintaining and rotating unit stock, using Unit 4 and other ordering portals.

Cleaning of clinical areas and keeping an up to date cleaning diary.

Reporting departmental issues via estates/ MICAD. Checking PAT test dates and ensuring all equipment is in working order.
