Job Description
- Utilize GPS technology to produce weekly reports aimed to effectively mitigate and resolve incidences.
- Maintain log of all regulatory inspections and ensure compliance for all Fleet vehicles and equipment.
- Create and conduct EHS trainings for staff related to vehicles and equipment.
- Analyze proposed or existing fleet administrative processes, methods and/or trends to identify potential problems and/or issues and recommend solutions that improve fleet efficiency.
- Enforce the Authority’s official GPS policy and ensure full compliance amongst all employees.
- Act as the primary administrator of the vendor GPS software, effectively resolving all supervisory user-account disputes, network problems, GPS maintenance issues and monthly invoices.
- Maintain the collection of quantitative web-based data directly related to the oversight and management of all Authority vehicles.
- Obtain the approval(s) from department field supervisors at remote sites for all repairs and/or GPS maintenance conducted by outside vendors on respective vehicles.
- Compile internet research on the cost-effectiveness of purchasing parts and materials related to GPS technology.
- Review all vendor material and service invoices for accuracy and possible warranty.
- Interact with vendors where warranty is suspected and resolve disputes as necessary.
- Obtain vendor pricing, create requisitions and maintain receipts for items in SAP.
- Coordinate regulatory EHS permits (DEC, Air, Discharge etc.)
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Studies, Mathematics or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 1-3 years administrative experience required, 3 years’ administrative experience preferred, as well as Fleet/Transportation operations experience.
- Must be proficient in all MS Office applications, with a strong understanding of Excel.
- Familiarity with telematics software, SAP, CMMS, and other vehicle maintenance software.
- Must be proficient in creating and presenting materials to all levels of staff.
- Must be proficient in problem solving with excellent quantitative analytical skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills to prepare reports, justify the use of metrics used to quantify output, secure the support and cooperation of user department representatives and administer vendor material and service contracts.
- Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with associates, vendors, representatives, internal personnel, etc.
Hours for this position will be Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Hours may be adjusted as department needs.
