Primary Function
Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Senior Process Engineer will plan and coordinate the technical design and engineering implementation of project work. The role requires expertise in the manufacturing processes of electronic devices and the installation and implementation of manufacturing systems, with a specific focus on the potting process. A Six Sigma Black Belt certification is required to drive process improvements and ensure operational excellence.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Installation & Maintenance: Oversee the installation, qualification, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of process machinery.
- Process Management: Refine and manage the potting process to achieve optimal performance.
- Performance Metrics: Maintain equipment metrics such as MTTR, MTBF, OEE, and CPK within desired performance levels.
- New Product Introduction (NPI): Support NPI programs and ensure defined milestones are met.
- Training: Provide training to technicians and technical operators.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain process and user requirements documentation.
- Process Improvement: Conduct gap analysis on process yield tracking and implement related improvements.
- Spare Parts Management: Control and manage process-related spare parts.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct Reports: Team of Engineers
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in STEM or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a process engineer in hardware manufacturing, with proven expertise in potting processes.
- Certifications: Six Sigma Black Belt certification required.
- Skills: Critical thinking, problem-solving, team player, excellent interpersonal skills, and a zero-defect mindset.
EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience with 2-Glue Potting Machine (Brand: Nordson).
- Demonstrated success in SLIM manufacturing practices.
- Successful design and implementation of process automation.
- Ability to interpret EE/ME design documentation.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
- Environment: Works primarily on the production floor.
- Physical Demands: Long periods of standing, walking, and occasional lifting (up to 10 lbs.).
