Job Description
The Billing and Payroll Specialist will play a crucial role within the Compound Planning finance team. The ideal candidate has a background in accounting or billing to lead our monthly and quarterly revenue collection. In this position, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of revenue calculations, collections, and payouts. Please note: this is a remote role.
What You’ll Do
- Communicate with Advisors and Operations on billing setups
- Execute monthly and quarterly bill runs, ensuring accuracy
- Calculate and process advisor payouts
- Coordinate fee billing reviews with the advisory team
- Prepare and process multiple payrolls and payroll corrections
- Manage the relationship with our third-party accounting team
- Process expense reimbursements for employee expenses

- Become the go-to person for all things relating to revenue collections and payouts
- Full ownership of the billing and payroll functions
Competencies And Skills
- Strong organizational and mathematical skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding financial matters
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (Basic formulas, Lookups, Pivot Tables)
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Familiarity with accounting, payroll, and banking software (Rippling/Mercury)
- Experience with Orion, Schwab, and Fidelity is preferred
- Strong orientation toward following established processes and procedures

Compensation Range: $60K – $70K
