Job Description
Pay: $21 – $24 (DOE) per hour, 40 hours per week
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
Work Location: In-Office (Concord, CA)
We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist located in or near Concord, CA.
Responsibilities
- Manage and process customer invoices (per contract) and payments (daily) efficiently.
- Reconcile accounts receivable balances to ensure accuracy between systems
- Monitor and follow up on overdue accounts to maintain timely collections using our tracking collection system
- Monitor and pay all Sales Tax to each state by due dates.
- Prepare and distribute open balance statements to clients.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve billing discrepancies professionally.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address and resolve account issues.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions by conduct weekly audits and generate AR reports as needed.
- Open and Sort all Accounting mail daily. This includes opening and adding up all physical checks received in the mail.
- Prepare payment packets to be overnighted via FedEx each week to our funding company.
- Assist in the implementation of AR policies and process improvements.
- Assist with month-end close.
- Assist with other accounting duties
- An associate or bachelor’s degree (concentration in Accounting/Finance preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience in accounts receivable or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and AR procedures.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Business Enterprise software, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Zoom
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
