Industrial Engineer – Pell City, AL

The Ford Meter Box Co., Inc., (fordmeterbox.com), is seeking an Industrial Engineer. Key job duties include but are not limited to:

• Review and update layouts and rack designs to optimize material flow.
• Performs time and motion studies.
• Calculates standards (rates).
• Assists other Manufacturing and Engineering personnel with product or inventory responsibilities as needed.
• Suggests any methods, tooling, equipment or work station changes that would improve the efficiency, safety or ergonomics on new and existing operations. Solicits input from department, manufacturing and engineering personnel.

Utilizes Microsoft Excel, Word and JDE. Must have basic computer skills and the ability to expand computer knowledge as required with company provided training. Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field or three years of related experience. Experience or certification in 6S and Lean Manufacturing preferred.

Candidates must have the ability to work independently, have strong organizational skills and initiative while working with the group.
