What We Are Looking For

  • With a relevant degree, or equivalent experience, you’ll also have experience of working in a similar role, in a local government or public sector, in a busy press office and social media environment.

  • Strong content creation and digital skills, including creating film and images for social media, managing channels, and able to interpret analytics.
  • Experience of proactive and reactive media relations, social media, copywriting and integrated campaigns across print and digital platforms.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, able to manage time effectively, meet tight deadlines, and thrive under pressure.
  • Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

What We Offer

  • 32 days annual leave
  • Flexible working including a hybrid working pattern for a better work-life balance. (Amend if the role can be carried out remotely)
  • Generous Local Government Pension scheme includes life cover (3 times of annual salary); and an Additional Voluntary Contribution (AVC) scheme to enhance your pension provision.
  • Free employee parking close to the offices.
  • Give As You Earn scheme.
