Job Description
The Learning & Development Manager will be responsible for designing and delivering comprehensive onboarding and training programs for new cohorts of inside advertising sales professionals. This role requires a proactive approach to ensure new employees are well-equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in their roles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales training, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping others succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective onboarding and training programs for new inside advertising sales hires.
- Leverage existing resources to create content and training curriculum.
- Conduct training sessions covering the advertising industry, sales techniques and call flow, product knowledge, and systems and tools.
- Proactively identify subject matter experts for content creation, feedback and training sessions or workshops.
- Provide ongoing support and mentorship to new hires during their onboarding period.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and iterate to keep pace with developments in the business.
- Create and maintain training materials and onboarding participant guides and ensure they remain up to date with the latest techniques and company offerings.
- Assess and report on the progress of new employees, providing feedback to both the employees and their managers.
- Facilitate a smooth transition for new hires into their roles, ensuring they feel welcomed and supported.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in sales training or onboarding, preferably in the media or advertising industry.
- Strong understanding of inside advertising sales roles and requirements.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience using training software and tools.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- A passion for teaching and helping others succeed.
The annualized base salary for this role will range between $70,000 and $90,000. ?Base compensation is reflective of many factors, including, but not limited to, the market in which one lives/works, individual education level, skills, certifications and experience. Note: variable compensation is not reflected in these figures and based on the role, may be applicable.
