The Accounting Clerk will track the organizations assets, liabilities, and other related financial activities

Requirements

Essential Functions

  • Maintains records of accounts payable and cash and other related duties in the accounting department.
  • Reconciles accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are all accounted for a properly posted.
  • Reconciles bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.
  • Manages vendor relationships and inquiries.
  • Verifies payment of bills associated with accounts payable, ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts, and generates 1099’s.
  • Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
  • Assists with monthly preparation of invoices and client documentation.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Knowledge of general financial accounting and basic bookkeeping.
  • Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Proficient in NetSuite accounting software, preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Education And Experience

  • BS in Accounting, or applicable experience in Accounts Payable/Cash responsibilities

Working Conditions

Work is generally performed within an indoor office environment utilizing standard office equipment.

General office environment requiring: frequent sitting; dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and mouse; walking and standing for long periods of time; and lifting of less than 20 pounds.

No travel is required.
