Job Description
Responsibilities: The Customer Contract Manager serves as a critical liaison between TW Metals and its customers, ensuring seamless communication and effective contract fulfillment. This role involves managing customer-specific inventory by reviewing forecasts, specifications, and coordinating with internal departments such as purchasing, sales, operations, and shipping. Key responsibilities include:
- Inputting material requirements into Gains and verifying stock availability.
- Expediting incoming materials from vendors and ensuring accurate order entry.
- Preparing customer bids and researching alternative material sources to meet quality and pricing standards.
- Following up on customer orders to guarantee on-time delivery, addressing delays proactively, and maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Providing regular updates through bi-weekly Teams conference calls, covering upcoming projects, material needs, and late orders.
- Compiling data for customer bids and managing open order reports on a weekly basis.
- Advising sales and purchasing teams on unique contractual requirements and maintaining consigned inventory as needed.
This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving to meet customer needs and support TW Metals’ commitment to excellence.
Qualifications:
- High School or GED, Undergraduate degree in Business Administration or related area preferred
Requirements:
- Possess effective communication skills which include verbal and written
- Ability to prioritize workload and be self-directed
- Customer service or sales assistant experience is necessary
- Metals industry experience is preferred
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office, particularly efficient on Excel is preferred
- Ability to learn proprietary program (Metalware)
