What We Are Looking For

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on, service orientated and driven individual with excellent communication skills. You’ll be responsible for ensuring ongoing availability and maintenance of Council’s IT environment. This includes current workstations, laptops, servers, network, cloud infrastructure, cyber security and corporate IT infrastructure systems.

What Your Day Will Look Like

• Administer the life cycle of Council’s servers (both physical, cloud and virtual) and CCTV network, including investigation, ordering, configuration, testing, installation, maintenance, support and disposal.
• Management of corporate backups to ensure high availability of data.
• Ensure systems and data are protected from cyber threats by ensuring cyber security principles and best practises are followed.
• Install network, operating systems and corporate systems new releases, updates and software patches.
• Provide input and oversee the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans for IT infrastructure.

What You Should Have To Apply

• Demonstrated extensive knowledge and experience in the administration and support of a Windows IT environment, including:
• Networks: Cisco Routing, Switching, Identity Services Engine, DNA Centre, Software-Defined Access
• Corporate Systems: Microsoft 365, Servers, Cloud infrastructure, Relational Databases, Information Systems and Associated Tools & development.
• Queensland Class “C” drivers’ licence

What’s Nice To Have

• Tertiary qualifications (AQF Level 7 or above) in Information Technology or an Information Technology field
