What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a Local Sales Lead who will play a pivotal role in driving sales of our horticultural farm produce i.e. potatoes, cabbages, leeks and onions among others in the local market. This position requires a proactive, customer-focused individual with strong market knowledge and a passion for agriculture.
What Does The Job Involve
- Develop and execute sales strategies
- Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets for produce
- Expand customer base in local markets
- Ensure consistent visibility of produce in the market
- Develop loyal partnerships with key market vendors
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
- Identify and capitalize on market opportunities
- Build and maintain relationships with market vendors and customers
- Coordinate with production team to ensure product availability
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity
- Provide detailed sales reports and performance analysis
Qualifications
- A degree or diploma in Sales, Marketing, or any relevant courses.
- Solid understanding of local sales market dynamics
- Minimum 3 years experience in handling high tonnages of farm produce and pushing it to the market
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written in English
- Confidentiality, integrity and professionalism
- Strong interpersonal skills and negotiation skills
- Flexibility, adaptability, accountability and ability to deliver on set deadlines
