We work alongside project developers, owners, and engineering & construction firms to support the design, optimization, and construction of huge solar projects around the world. The Role
As an early member of the Terabase HR team you will work, learn, and grow in Terabase’s unique operating environment and culture: high-growth, innovative, lean, and values-driven. As the HR team, we hope to demonstrate the following characteristics: adaptability, curiosity, resourcefulness, problem-solving, pro-activity, and collaboration. The HR Business Partner will be acting as a consultant to business unit leaders and provide coaching and counseling to employees and leaders, support performance management, investigations, training and development, and support HR initiatives and projects.
This role is remote, with occasional travel (<15%).
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain relationships with leaders and their team members, to support organizational needs and continue building on our amazing culture.
- Through exceptional relationship building, you will fully understand Terabase’s strategic vision and co-create People focused initiatives to support and promote the achievement of our organizational goals.
- Help define and roll out the staple HR processes (performance management, compensation, leveling, feedback, retention etc.) in a way that delivers results, in close partnership with the business, and in alignment with Terabase’s core values.
- Support the development, implementation and ongoing management of a performance management system with the ability to assess individual or team performance, automate employee reviews, identify areas for improvement, and develop and retain top talent.
- Operate confidently as a trusted advisor and sounding board for leaders and employees; challenge them to achieve their maximum potential through a process of self-awareness and understanding and, where necessary, challenge leaders and employees to change their behavior.
- Manages exit interview process and analyzes trends and make recommendations to support engagement, process improvement and leader/employee development.
- Lead change management projects to affect continuous improvement, identifying when and where additional change management/project resource is required.
- Work with HR team and stakeholders to identify lessons learned and process improvements to support continuous improvement of the HR function.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent blend of education and work experience in our industry.
- 5+ years as an HRBP, preferably in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
- Understanding of the software, engineering, and/or climate tech sectors.
- Demonstrated strong judgment and working knowledge of multiple HR functional areas, including performance management, training, recruitment, and onboarding.
- Strong planning, coordination, organization and prioritization skills.
- Proven ability to foster relationships with managers and working partnerships with a broad range of people.
- Enthusiastic promoter of all things Terabase to both internal and external hires.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
