Role Overview
Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, the Director of Product Strategy and Operations for Mid Incident Response and Reporting will be a key leader driving the strategic direction, operational efficiency, and cross-functional alignment of Versaterm’s CAD, Records, and Field Response & Reporting product sleeves. This role involves setting the vision for long-term product strategy, ensuring the seamless execution of initiatives, and enabling scalable processes to achieve business objectives. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong operational expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in driving product success.
What You’ll Do
Product Strategy Development:
- Collaborate with executive leadership to define and refine the product vision and strategic roadmap.
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Evaluate and prioritize product investments to align with business goals and ROI expectations.
- Multi year P&L planning and forecasting including budgeting and scenario planning.
Operational Leadership:
- Develop and implement processes to streamline product development, launch, and lifecycle management
- Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success) to drive alignment and ensure successful delivery of product initiatives
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the performance and impact of product strategies
- Manage executive-level reporting, including creating materials for board meetings and leadership reviews
Team Leadership and Enablement:
- Serve as a strategic advisor and mentor to product managers and cross-functional leaders
- Build and scale operational excellence across the product organization through training, tools, and best practices
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability
Change Management and Communication:
- Act as a central point for communication and alignment across teams regarding product strategy and operations
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve workflows and address organizational challenges
- Ensure transparency and alignment by facilitating regular reviews, updates, and reporting mechanisms
What You Bring
- 8+ years of experience in product management, strategy, or operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Public Safety product experience; CAD and RMS preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Product Management, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic product roadmaps in fast-paced environments
- Strong operational mindset with expertise in scaling teams, processes, and systems
- Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and driving collaboration
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Deep understanding of agile development practices and tools (e.g., Aha!, JIRA, Confluence)
