Preferred Responsibilities

If you have an interest in survey we want to hear from you. Experience with land development, or heavy civil construction survey projects which include the following responsibilities is preferred:

• Survey control setup and calibration;
• Performing all aspects of preliminary / topographic survey, construction layout survey and as-built survey;
• Creating Civil 3D survey points and survey stakeout including grading, sanitary, storm, water, roadways, concrete and electrical stakeouts;
• Collaborating with a diverse team of project managers, engineers, planners, and technologists to deliver excellent service to our clients;
• Working with contractors and clients to develop and maintain positive relationships; and
• Observing safe work practices to protect the health and safety of yourself, co-workers, and others on active construction sites.

Please note that screening of resumes and interview scheduling will start to take place in January 2025.

A Little About You

An aptitude for surveying as a career is important to us and may include:

• Demonstrated experience with various survey equipment including GPS, total station, rod/level and applicable software;
• Proficiency with survey software (Trimble Business Centre, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD);
• Able to work independently and take ownership of the role;
• Experience or knowledge of other survey techniques aerial drones, LiDAR, laser scanning, and applicable software;
• Ability to work longer hours during the construction season which may include night shifts, weekends, and holidays.

A Little More About The Role

• This role is based in Calgary and will be supported by a team of construction professionals;
• You must maintain a valid Class 5 Alberta Operator’s License. A company vehicle will be provided; and
• Registration with ASET or other professional body is preferred.
