Joining the Microsoft Qatar Leadership team as the National Technology Officer, you will be one of the leading voices of how technology, business and societal opportunities together fuel the current fundamental business transformation in your country. With customers, government elites, partners, and key societal stakeholders and within Microsoft. You will lead the Technology Office in the Microsoft subsidiary and be a role model and leading expert on AI, cloud, cybersecurity, and business transformation, with a profound skill set on how customers and government stakeholders execute their vision and manage their risks and how to address related questions. With a proven track record, how to inspire senior executives of customers and tech policy elites in government with a compelling technical vision – leading to an acceleration of the business transformation of Microsoft and industries.

Responsibilities
- Responsible to extend and defend addressable markets for the sub, special focus on AI and cybersecurity.
- Building Trust in Technology Building effectively long term trusted advisor relationships with key national stakeholders, lead on privacy and security compliancy and be an excellent technical and legal communicator, based on deep technology & industry knowledge
- Innovation Ambassador Demonstrate great innovation story telling abilities, ability to think in systems and its network effects, demonstrated ability to synthesize clear patterns in complex environments. Ability to leverage a deep Technology Industry Knowledge in fostering Executive relationsships
- The NTO is expected to spend 75% on “customer” face time ( strategic customers, policy elites, regulators, think tanks, advisory groups, national standard bodies, industry associations)
- Strategic and Busines Influencer Lead engagements and conversations to inform, influence and convince key stakeholders. Expand thought leadership with perpetual intellectual curiosity, strategic thinking and industry knowledge
- The NTO role is a role with a high share of external engagements to exploit network effects between multiple markets and product lines to maximize strategic business impact
Lead and drive corp-led strategic NTO initiatives in your subsidiary
- Establish and drive a joint local execution model with CELA Government Affair in priority policy areas
- Define with PSL the overall Government Engagement Strategy, drive and execute pillar 1,2 and 5
- Prepare landing ground for new offerings in local market
Deliver subsidiary-LT led local market shaping priorities
- Lead on local compliancy and certification activities for AI, cybersecurity, privacy in collab with field, CELA and engineering
- Lead local big Rock projects like DC landing zones, EUDB, India Stack
- Partner with subLT/CELA and support local CELA priorities impacting the MS TAM in local market
Drive tech Intensity, capture early signals and disseminate actionable insights
- Transfer insights to IPS LT, engineering LT and field at scale
- Grow the impact of the NTO/NSO community by sharing relevant signals fast and deep insights via appropriate mechanisms
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) or other related field AND 10+ years experience working across multiple disciplines/domains (e.g., technology management, consulting, policy and regulations, legal/privacy, or a related field)
- OR equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications (PQs)
- Master’s Degree or Doctorate Degree in a related field.
- 6+ years working across multiple disciplines/domains (e.g., security technology, legal/privacy)
- Certification related to security (e.g., Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
- 5+ years people/project management experience working with cross-functional teams.
