Job Description: Responsible for overseeing and improve warehouse operations and logistics functions to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and timely delivery of goods. This role includes setup new SOP or system to manage inventory, transportation, and distribution strategies, as well as leading a team to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Warehouse Operations Management:
- Enhance daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient storage, handling, and dispatch of goods.
- Improve inventory control procedures to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.
- Setup SOP and compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Logistics and Distribution:
- Develop logistics strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective distribution of products.
- Collaborate with route planner to ensure efficient delivery schedules and resolve any issues.
- Optimize logistics processes to enhance delivery performance and customer satisfaction.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the warehouse and logistics team to achieve operational goals.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide training to improve skills and productivity.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the team.
- Inventory Management:
- Improve inventory management systems and practices to enhance efficiency.
- Budget and Cost Management:
- Develop and manage the warehouse and logistics budget, ensuring cost control and efficiency.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising service quality.
- Analyze financial reports to track performance and make data-driven decisions.
- Process Improvement:
- Continuously assess and improve warehouse and logistics processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to optimize operations.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements to ensure competitive advantage.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments, such as route planner, market planner, sales, and customer service, to ensure seamless operations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with principals, customers, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in warehouse and logistics management.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
