Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the sales of products/systems/services within a designated market/division, in line with the division strategy. Each day, you will achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and developing new sales opportunities.

The work model for the role is: onsite

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Respond and give feedback to local sales manager on business trends, possibilities and challenges in the market and their influences on business
  • Be responsible for business development activities and generating new ideas and leads
  • Collect and analyze market data in order to support local organization
  • Identifying and establishing new business Via good awareness of the customer , understands the needs of the customer and identifies new business possibilities as well as maximizing the potential with existing customers
  • Preparing tenders, proposals and quotations by having a sufficient knowledge about the Unit’s offering in order to introduce the best solution of ABB offering with the customer.
  • Has extensive knowledge about the customer, understands the channel strategy and the establishment of prices related to this.
  • Runs the negotiations with the customer and moves the business to the agreed upon margins as well as ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
  • Organizing sales visits by fulfilling the expected number of customer visits as established with consultation with the Sales Manager.
  • Meeting Client/Consultants for specification and prescription activities.
  • Full knowledge of Sales process workflows in the Division with providing pre-sales and after-sales support
  • Able to comprehend and follow the ABB procedures and guidelines
  • Capable to solve problems, create solutions. Especially that may be in contact with third parties.
  • Communicate effectively horizontally & vertically within his organization.
  • Submit on periodic bases internal reports required by the sales manager.
  • Reply on all technical comments raised by the technical department in advance of submitting the offer.

Qualifications For The Role

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 7-8 years’ experience in a sales preferably in multinational organization and relevant field
  • General knowledge of products, applications and processes
  • Knowledge of ABB products (Medium Voltage, )
  • Good knowledge in contract and risk management
  • Excellent skills in Customer relations: Show a mature selling behavior and actively drives discussions and negotiations to the benefit of the business with customers . Self starter.
  • Market and business intelligence: ability to identify customer needs and to match those against ABB offerings.. Ability to accurately estimate costs of offerings
  • Has sales drive: focus energy to achieve and close profitable deals. Ability to push himself/herself to develop personally in line with the changes in the organization
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Oman driving license is must
