We are seeking a dynamic and detail orientated part qualified accountant to join our financial reporting team.This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to advance their career within a supportive and fast-paced environment.The individual will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with relevant standards, and contributing to the ongoing success of the finance function.
What will you be doing?
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Month-End Close: Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure smooth month-end close procedures, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- External Audits: Assist with the audit process by preparing schedules and liaising with external auditors.
- Internal Controls: Help maintain a robust internal control environment, identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance financial reporting accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide support in analysing financial data and identifying trends to inform decision making.
- Compliance & Regulation: Stay up-to-date with relevant financial regulations and football reporting requirements to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including finance, tax, legal, and operations, to gather financial data and ensure consistency and accuracy in reporting.
Who are we looking for?
To be successful in this role,you will be a part qualified accountant (CA, ACA, CIMA or ACCA) with a proven track record in accounting with an understanding financial principles, and reporting requirements.You will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide valuable insights.You will also have a keen eye for detail and accuracy in financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
The right candidate will be self-motivated and can work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to stakeholders at various levels. You will be proficient in financial software, ERP systems, and MS Office applications, particularly Excel and have a collaborative approach to work, with the ability to work well within a cross-functional team.

This isa full-time permanent role working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.You main base will be our office on Chapel Street in Liverpool City Centre, which is close to local bars, shops and restaurants and has great views over the river Mersey.
